Before the big day, we were honoured to have met with Sammy and Pete on multiple occasions. We first met these two lovebirds at a local wedding fayre in Hockwold. After that, we met and hit it off at our pre-booking chat where they filled us in on their vision for their upcoming Hockwold Hall wedding in Norfolk. After they booked us, we met for a fun engagement session.
That being said, we knew each other quite well before the big day. If it fits our couple’s schedules and preferences, we love to meet and get to know our couples as much as possible beforehand. This naturally creates a bond and a trust that fuels the wedding day!
Once Sammy and Pete’s wedding day arrived, it felt as though we were photographing old friends. The day began with smooth and relaxing wedding prep. From there, we headed to Kings Lynn for the ceremony and shortly after, navigated our way to Hockwold Hall where Sammy and Pete took time to greet their guests.
Since the weather was overcast and drizzly, the majority of events took place indoors in a snug, intimate environment. However, this did not deter Sammy and Pete from being adventurous outdoors for a few damp portraits. We love couples who go with the flow – but it helps that Sammy and Pete knew us and trusted us before the big day. In the end, we captured some really amazing photos for them.
The dinner, speeches, and the party took place in the marquee. Sammy and Pete’s love of Hogwarts was evident in the reception details. And if that is not magnificent enough, add in a 20-member band to fill the reception with tunes all night long. By the end of the night, guests could not help but be up dancing, using props on the dancefloor and posing for hilarious snaps!
Congratulations Sammy and Pete!
