As you can see from the photos the couple had a great time on this shoot, they were so relaxed and it was lovely to be able to capture this natural joy on a gorgeous September day. Their extremely photogenic puppy, Kimmi also got involved and we got some adorable shots of them all together. It’s little additions like this that make each couples’ photoshoot their own and we love to see the different ways that couples celebrate their time together. Little Kimmi is certainly a lucky puppy to be a part of their family, these two were grinning and laughing all the way through their shoot.

If you haven’t been to Dunwich Heath and Beach, we would definitely recommend it for an enjoyably bracing beach stroll. The remote beach is a pebble-dash stretch of both sand and shingle and is backed by the dunes, heathland and lagoons of Dunwich Heath. It’s also home to a wide range of interesting wildlife, perfect for a romantic walk, a day trip for nature lovers, or just an excuse to get down to the beach.

The photos for this Dunwich beach engagement truly reflect this couple and their passions. They describe their perfect Sunday as, “Sleeping in, a nice countryside walk with the puppy and enjoying lots of nice food and drink with friends.”

What we really loved about this shoot was that we got to capture the changing light throughout the day. The English weather is often so unpredictable but on this day, it was perfect for a stroll along Dunwich beach and the sky was a beautiful rich blue. We spent such a fun afternoon snapping on the beach that the evening crept up on us and we began to lose the sun over the horizon. It was beautiful. The sunset spread a gorgeous warm glow behind our couple so we changed it up from taking photos on the blustery beach to getting amongst the lilac heathers.
