It is not just us that are obsessed with Butley Priory! Vogue magazine named it “One of the World’s Best Wedding Locations”. It is undeniable that this venue’s charm is found in its unique and gorgeous architecture. Butley Priory wedding photography images are jaw-dropping. But you have to see it in person to truly grasp the warmth, intimacy, and mystique it offers.

As Butley Priory wedding photographers, one of our favourite features is that it comes as a blank canvas. Bride and grooms can create and execute their personalized wedding events here. From elegant and glamourous ceremonies to festival-style lawn parties, the venue can be transformed to fit any imagination. The venue is available for full-day weddings with either (or both) ceremony and reception. Regardless of how you curate your wedding day, brides and grooms can be assured that they will experience total privacy as well as easy accessibility for guests.

Built in the 14th century, the Butley Priory is a former monastery. Inside, huge fireplaces, tall ceilings, grand bedrooms with natural light pouring in and vintage décor fill the spiritual walls. Couples can utilize two main corridors for their ceremonies and reception. The Drawing Room is available for intimate events. For larger events, the Great Hall is a large white room with ample lighting, high ceilings, and a piano. You can see more information here. A grand staircase is a perfect option for Butley Priory wedding photography. Outside of this unique house, the grounds boast of beautifully-manicured lawns and gardens.

Butley Priory can accommodate indoor weddings up to 100 guests or outdoor weddings up to 200 guests. The marquee is perfect for humanist weddings. Indoors there are two licensed ceremony rooms for civil ceremonies.

According to the Butley Priory website, “Grand or intimate, indoors or out, sophisticated or outrageous, it’s up to you. Butley provides an unforgettable setting for all styles and celebrations.” After shooting here a handful of times (including 2021 weddings!), we wholeheartedly agree. It is indeed, unforgettable.
